Help me "study" for an adept15 skills assessment test

Posting on behalf of a friend who is taking an adept15 skills assessment and motion challenge test, and asked me to help him "study". It's being given by his employer, who encouraged him to familiarize himself with the principles, to be prepared. But they provide no further information. I tried researching in order to help out, but it's too much for my exhausted brain. If you've administered one of these tests, can you offer some insight about how to prepare? If you've taken one, did you get any feedback that could be helpful? Thanks everyone!

Well, this is a niche thing I know that I never expected to be useful. I have taken the test and have also assisted recruiters in interpreting test results. There are short videos about each kind of Adept15 tests here that could be really helpful to them. I recommend getting used to the format, and making sure that there is uninterrupted time to take the test.

If it's a skills assessment, it's pretty similar to an IQ test. There are right and wrong answers, but some answers are more wrong than others. (For example, if it's a math based skill test often times one of the answers will be slightly off, like the decimal point in the wrong place). Not knowing the context of why they're being asked to take it, or which skill they're testing on, there's really not much to be done to study or prepare. Go as slow as you feel comfortable/within time limits. Pay attention to the details. Work backwards if you have to- sometimes, it can be easier to plug in all the answers to a formula to see what works and what doesn't.

If they're being asked to take the job fit or personality assessment, the key thing is to be honest. This isn't a test like you'd take at say, Wal-mart, where the answers are obvious like, "Would you steal from a company?" or "If you saw someone take food that wasn't theirs, what would you do?". It's really a scale that asks the test taker to pick one of two semi-good options like choosing between, "I work towards goals" or "I consider myself a hard worker". There really isn't a wrong answer- It's all about what they're looking for- if they're trying to become a supervisor, focus on leadership statements. If you're trying to be a sales person, focus on social interaction items. The context in which they're being asked to take the test is important.

For either type, DO NOT change windows or use a different browser to look up an answer. Be mindful of any timers. Use scratch paper or a calculator if you need to/are allowed, based on the test type.

Good luck to them! I'm sure they'll do great.
