Cannot log in to Weebly site with Chrome

This is a real mystery, because the problem only happens in Chrome on MY computer. I can log in normally on my husband's computer, which is exactly the same iMac.

I'm trying to edit a website hosted on Weebly. I have previously been able to log in with Chrome, but about a week ago I started getting "An error has occurred. Please try again." at the screen where I input the email address.

I have contacted Weebly support and completed their suggestions with no luck:
Cleared cache, closed and reopened Chrome.
Tried incognito mode.

Support suggested using an alternative browser (Firefox) which works fine, as does Safari. The real mystery is why I can log in via Chrome on my husband's iMac, the same model/year as mine running the same version of Chrome (the most current one).

I have turned off and rebooted my computer.

I can log in normally with Firefox and Safari, so I'm not locked out of editing the site. I would like to figure out why I can't log in with Chrome. This is really bugging me. What else can I try?

Is the error a weebly error, as in, displayed in their styles on their page, or is it a crashed chrome tab error?

Do you have any Chrome extensions installed on your computer that aren't installed on your husband's?

Response by poster: maxwelton: It is a Weebly error message.
JackBurden: I have disabled all Chrome extensions on my computer. That didn't solve the problem. Do I need to actually uninstall them?

Any chance you're using an autofill entry to fill in the email address? If so, don't use it, type it out fully. There could be a space at the beginning or end and Weebly isn't trimming it.
