Which food-related subscription boxes have you tried and enjoyed?

I'm looking for a regular pick-me-up to give me some moments of happiness during these long months of COVID. I really enjoy receiving food gift baskets so thought a food-related subscription box/delivery might be fun. Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't drink alcohol, but otherwise I don't have any dietary restrictions and am open to pretty much anything else.

Not sure if meal kits are what you have in mind but I have been a regular Blue Apron user for about 18 months. I really enjoy not having to shop or meal plan (other than to choose my meal preferences in advance). Me mail me if you’re interested in a free box - they keep replenishing my free samples! :)

Snackcrate!! You get snacks from a different country every month. My office used to get one and we'd always lose our minds whenever it arrived.

One of the first gifts my now-spouse got me was a subscription to a Bacon of the Month service. Highly recommend it.

This isn't quite the same but a local bake shop has started offering surprise treat boxes for purchase and I've enjoyed those. You might look into something like that for your area.

I've been doing the Trade Coffee subscription for a few months and have really enjoyed the variety of blends I have received.

We got gifted bokksu and while it didn’t make up for a canceled trip to japan it has been very tasty!

I got some friends a couple of months of Carnivore Club boxes once and they really enjoyed it!

Cratejoy is a great place to find reviews of a variety of boxes and to look for boxes that cater to specific price points, diets, or food interests.

Several years ago, I tried Keto Krate. I was just starting to experiment with a low carb diet, and Keto Krate allowed me to discover new snack products. After a few months, though, I had found enough snacks that I enjoyed and the boxes started to feel a little too similar and repetitive so I canceled my subscription.

I recently bought Snackcrate as a gift for a college student. Snackcrate offers several different sizes of boxes as well as an add on drink (nonalcoholic). He has only received one box so far, but he really liked it. I think that the variety of types of snacks appealed to him --- he liked getting both savory and sweet items. If you like the idea of Snackcrate, you might want to check out Universal Yums too. They are pretty similar services.

My friend and her family subscribe to the Yum box and she says it's really fun and tasty.

3rding Universal Yums - I've tried several boxes and that's my favorite by far.

The capricorn household also subscribes to Universal Yums and we love it. They have a really interesting selection of snacks, and the booklet that comes with them is full of trivia and recipes and detailed info about each snack. We get the smallest box, the Yum Box, and it’s $14/mo.

Zingerman's has a variety of subscription options, from single food (bread, olive oil, cheese, bacon) to snacks and "culinary adventure" boxes. [President Obama's plane never left Detroit/Ann Arbor without an array of sammys from Zingerman's).

Exotic Noods will send you an assortment of noodles every month.

Japan Crate has an assortment of different crates, including the premium Japan snack crate and the Umai noodle crate.

I used to get Japan Crate for a while but it eventually got sort of repetitive. There’d be different branding and packaging, but the kinds of candies and flavors didn’t vary all that much. We switched over to Universal Yums and it’s been great. Each month’s box comes from a different country or region, and the variety is really fun, and the flavor profiles vary so much between countries!
