Laptop stand that doesn't move while typing

I've been having some ergonomic issues lately and my work sent me a new desk & some new equipment for home, including this laptop stand. The height adjustment is perfect, but when I type (on a separate, mechanical keyboard), move the keyboard around on my desk or even touch the desk too much, the laptop bounces on the stand way more than I can handle. Does anyone have recommendations for a brand of laptop holder that's rock solid even while typing?
What I said above, basically. I'm using my own laptop for home working (and this is acceptable under company policy), and I write as a hobby in my spare time as well as having a typing-heavy job.
When I tried out the stand yesterday for playing games it seemed fine, but as soon as I tried a serious amount of typing this morning I couldn't handle the amount that this was causing the screen to bounce around. It's incredibly distracting and offputting while I type.
I will admit to being something of a keyboard-pounder, and I'm sure using a mechanical keyboard doesn't help with this at all (but you can pry my Corsair from my cold dead hands, I love this keyboard more than any I've ever used). Ideally I need to be able to type this poundily without my risen laptop moving around at all. Hope me.

It’s expensive, but the Rain Designs iLevel 2 is ridiculously rock solid. I’ve been using it daily since lockdown started and it is really good, adjustable but the screen doesn’t move at all when I type on my separate keyboard. It is a giant piece of metal though, so you will need the desk space for it.

Tried weighing down the stand by putting something heavy (books, bricks, a pavement tile) on the legs? If it still bounces once you've done that there's probably too much flex in the stand and replacing it is on the cards.
Another option would be to request a monitor, and put the laptop somewhere out of the way with the lid closed.
Also, how typing-resistant is that new desk itself?

As Stoneshop suggested, it sounds like the problem is at least halfway attributable to the desk rather than the stand. Have you tried moving the whole setup to a sturdier table?

Consider this a second suggestion to look into one of the several Rain products for holding laptops. I keep a work laptop on one of the simple single-piece designs (the mStand) and "ridiculously rock solid" are the same words I'd use. It looks a touch precarious in pictures. It is not in any way whatsoever.
