Wireless gaming mouse with small USB-C dongle

I'm looking for a good quality low latency gaming mouse with a small USB-C dongle that I can leave plugged into my Macbook Pro all the time.

I'm avoiding Bluetooth due to the increased latency. I'm trying to avoid a USB-A to C adapter because even a relatively compact one will necessarily stick out a ways from the side of my computer due to the size of the USB-A socket.

All the gaming mice I've looked at so far (e.g. the Razer Basilisk Ultimate recommended by The Wirecutter) seem to have a USB-A dongle with no option for a USB-C upgrade.

I'm willing to buy a replacement USB-C dongle separately if it works with the mouse.

I'm prioritizing convenience (and quality) over cost.

If (as I'm half expecting) a mouse that fits my needs doesn't exist at the moment I'd also accept recommendations for particularly compact USB-A to C adapters to make things as compact as possible if I do end up going the adapter route.

Best answer: You're not going to find a gaming mouse with a USB-C dongle; or if there are such things (which I doubt) you'll be massively limiting your choices. Go for an adapter.

There are many adapters of various degrees of smallness, such as this one. There's not going to be much difference in terms of size or quality between the different ones. The adapter plus dongle is going to stick out somewhere between 1/2" to 1" - I'd just get used to unplugging it if it were me - less chance of catching it on something and breaking it.

At the cost of being a bit ugly, an adapter that has a short stretch of cable between plugs would solve the “sticks out too far” problem, I think.
