Help me find (again) this poem.

I'm at a loss in finding a poem that I might have read years and years ago via a link on MeFi: it describes in a detailed, precise, almost fastidious way the formation, growth and behavior of sand dunes, and takes a sudden, unexpected turn at the end, stating that grief follows exactly the same pattern.
