Looking for lamp from The Ring

Okay, here's a tough one. In both The Ring and The Ring II, the morose little boy has this amazing bedside lamp that looks like a flying saucer taking off. I assume the set decorators must have purchased this lamp somewhere...but where? Many hours of exhaustive searching have yielded no results. Anyone know where I might find this item?

It's a very cool lamp. Here's a picture I screen-capped.

I'm pretty sure that's a replica of the Space Needle - you might try their gift shop or just using that as a search term?

That would be the Space Needle in Seattle, WA btw.

I really don't think that's a Space Needle lamp. The support on the lamp is quite a bit different than the real Space Needle, even if stylized.

It's hard to say from the screencap but it almost even looks like there's billowing smoke at the lamp base.

It's not the Space Needle.

I want one of those lamps too after seeing that pic.

Response by poster: It's definitely not the space needle. The base is indeed billowing smoke and is made to look like the spacecraft is ascending. Good guess though.

I also like the neat IKEA lamps they sold a few years back. They look like a giant holiday tree bulb with feet.

They came in red, blue and white -- if I recall correctly.

What about the saucer in 'Men in Black'? It seems familiar, yet I couldn't find a pic of it.

The MIB saucers are the remains of the New York State pavilion from the 1964 Worlds Fair in New York

How close is this? I know it's not the exact lamp, but it shares a certain sumthin'.

You could try contacting the set decorator for each movie, maybe through Dreamworks. They'd probably appreciate the interest.

The poperty master for each movie is also someone to try and contact. They are responsible for all the props (movable items in a movie set) and work closely with the set decorators.
