Looking for a new ThinkProgress.org

I want to find progressive, highly reliable/factual news websites that cover science, environmental concerns, as well as both U.S. and world government behavior in front of and behind the scenes. And any other sites that seem worthy of spending time there.

I have a number of outlets I use to fact-check and assess news reports that pop up. Recently I've been using factcheck.org and mediabiasfactcheck.com to assist me in gauging what is believable and what is BS or mostly made-up. With so much disinformation abounding, I hope y'all have some places to point me.
I could only pick one category although law & government and science & nature are pertinent as well.

Best answer: ProPublica is the real deal, journalism-wise, and progressive.

Also High Country News, which is not about the cannabis industry but in fact focuses on western US issues, including the environment, indigenous rights, and the public lands.
