tell me how to change my username

When I originally setup my PC a couple of years ago, Windows 10, I put in a username that at the time I thought was funny. Now, not so much.

I successfully changed the name on the splash screen, to my real name. I thought that was all that was needed. Until I saw on the command prompt that the old username was there. Also it is listed on the windows>users>oldname. Further, on files such as Word and Excel, etc, my old username is there.

I can't google a way to do this; to change to a new username in the file directory, registry, etc? So, is there a way to accomplish this change or do I just live with it?
Thanks
