Best livestream platform?

What is the best platform for live-streaming? I have upcoming events that we are planning on doing digitally. Looking for a way to livestream to an audience of at least 100 people. They will need to be able to chat with me and each other during this livestream. This needs to be as non-intrusive as possible - ideally it’s in-browser and natively works on iOS. Worst case scenario: it’s an installed app.

Clearly, Coronavirus is changing the way we all manage events. I’m sure this is a very solved problem, and so far people have suggested to me Discord - which seems to require an install.

Most of the audience are iOS users, and most of them prefer mobile based solutions.

Stream-host-wise, we can do whatever is necessary. We have cameras, mics, etc. But I’d love input on what ya’ll think are the best streaming platforms, and why. Thank you!

I used www.mixer.com today for something similar. I’m not especially tech literate, and it was easy to figure out and I didn’t have to download anything. I was able to use an existing account to log in. I also liked that it worked equally well on my phone and laptop.

Twitch and Mixer both fit your description. Facebook live and yahoo live probably do also but I haven't tried them personally. None of those require an install, and they all support chatting.

YouTube live, sorry, not "Yahoo live"

We use goto meeting for this. It works in browser, not sure about in iOS . The chat function is good and you have a lot of options for moderating it and stopping it from becoming chaos.

I attended a 300+ person event today that used Zoom. Live chat for interaction worked very well. I’ve been seeing a lot of Zoom being used in digital classroom stuff as well.

check out https://meet.jit.si/ ?
I haven't used this personally but it seems like low overhead.
