What live performances or events (musical or non) are you looking forward to during self quarantine?

After cancelling upcoming performances the Met Opera will begin streaming hits from their archives. Which made me think of this article about 'bedroom music festivals' in China last month and WFMU's Yo La Tengo request a song fundraiser (which is only available live). I get that the operas are pre-recorded, but I know what I'll be doing Tuesday night at 7:30. Looking for other (non-TV) things to break up the days/nights during this upcoming period of isolation.

Vienna State Opera is opening its livestream archives, so that music lovers all over the world will still be able to enjoy opera and ballet.

Starting on Sunday, 15 March 2020, Wiener Staatsoper will broadcast recordings of previous opera and ballet performances daily via its streaming platform – worldwide and free of charge. www.staatsoperlive.com

This online programme will even follow the originally planned schedule at the house, with a few exceptions only. Streams start at 7 p.m. or 5 p.m. CET respectively (for Die Walküre, Siegfried, Götterdämmerung) and remain available for 24 hours.

This is super specific but I'm putting it here just because: after the figure skating world championships were canceled, Ice Academy of Montreal (aka Gadbois skating) has announced they will have their skaters do a full performance of their programs on Monday and stream it shortly after.

This is a big deal in the world of ice dance as all the top teams, from several countries, train here. (Including the entire American team.) Streaming details TBD but you can follow any of the top skaters on Instagram and I'm sure they'll be sharing info shortly -- Papadakis & Cizeron, Hubbel & Donohue, Chock & Bates, Hawayek & Baker, Beaudry & Sorensen, Smart & Diaz, Soucisse & Firus, Lajoie & Lagha, Fear & Gibson. I could go on but I'll stop.

Here's a good thread on Twitter that aggregates a bunch of "live" shows and options for movies beyond the usual.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is closed to visitors but its live web cams are still running during California daytime hours. They have sea otters! Some of the webcam pages have feeding times posted, if you want to tune in then for a better chance of seeing critters.

(Never mind about the big ice dance broadacst. It was just canceled.)

The Dropkick Murphys are streaming a St Patty's Day show instead of playing live on Thursday.

The Dropkick Murphy's show is Tuesday. Your other Thursday.

Probably more niche, but vlogger-turned-musican Tessa Violet is doing a series of intimate little accoustic shows live on Youtube.

A dear friend of mine is the Artistic Director at Theater Wit--a longtime staple of Chicago's live theater scene. He is currently set up to livestream their latest production if you are willing to buy a ticket. If you're in town, they are also practicing theater distancing - selling half the house only for optimum human avoidance while still seeing theater live. They also have contactless ticketing and admission.

Response by poster: NB Met Opera streams have attracted a ton of listeners so arrive early to hear it with everyone else.

Kind of related: on Friday, March 20 bandcamp is waiving their revenue share so artists get most of the profits from that day's sales.
