Why is the optimal ghost written Kindle book 25 pages?

Having just started poking about for freelance writing gigs, I keep finding absolute scads of shifty looking proposals for Kindle books that all want precisely 25 pages. What gives?

I don't read on a Kindle or use Amazon at all for Reasons so this is just kind of been driving me up the wall a tad. Why 25 pages? It's almost always sketchy sounding projects about self helping your keto cryptocurrency SEO it's way to the top ten blackjack techniques that I wouldn't touch with a barge-pole anyway, but there's enough straightforward projects in there that it's got to be a viable format for some reason.

Anyone wanna shine a light on this fore me?

The minimum length for a 45 minute Kindle “Short Read” is 22 pages, so I suspect it has something to do with meeting that threshold, but not doing any more work than necessary. Are there also proposals that happen to land just above the other Kindle short read thresholds?

Book stuffing is probably a lot of it. Right now, you need about that much original content.
