What? Who! Where? That's my question!

Question about streaming in the US. The newer Dr. Who is apparently not on Netflix or Hulu. Google is saying it's been licensed on HBO plus. I'm having trouble figuring out whether the new Who is on Britbox. If you have access to Dr. Who streaming (all the new seasons) in the US, where, oh where, are you watching it? Secondary question: Is all the classic Who available in the US on Britbox? Thank ya kindly!

Seasons 1-7, 9, and 10 are available on Amazon Prime. HBO Max doesn’t exist yet.

Response by poster: I have Amazon Prime and all I'm seeing is it for sale. I want something streaming that's included with my service, sorry if that wasn't obvious

My Roku was telling me some seasons were still available with a Prime sub, sorry for bad info! It’s simply not available to stream in the U.S. right now, then.

Best answer: BritBox has almost all the surviving Classic Who.

There are a couple of episodes which weren't there when I did an entire classic rewatch two years ago: I think it was due to some licensing weirdness, and I think some of them are watchable now.

I think you should be able to see the listings without creating an account: there's a section for it from the top menu under "explore" that will get you all the Classic Who in one place.

Best answer: I have Britbox and I am looking at the app now. They have a category called "Classic Doctor Who" that shows the First through the Seventh Doctor. However, some of the episodes in the First Doctor and most of the episodes for the Second Doctor are marked "unavailable" and when I click on them I just get a message saying Britbox isn't able to show this episode currently. It looks like all the other seasons are complete though. The other things that show up when you search Doctor Who on the app are some specials, and some "extras" but those all look like they relate to Classic DW and not new DW.

Best answer: If you have a DVD player, check the local library. We are Amazon prime members and watched a few seasons that way, but know that it can go from free to pay without rhyme or reason.

Try the Beebs Chrome extension. Sometimes it only works in conjunction with another VPN. It allows you to watch British TV (BBC, Channel 4) from abroad.

Or just get into torrents.... showrss.info allows you to subscribe to your favourite shows and have them delivered immediately to your torrent downloader as soon as they are available (usually within an hour or so of release...).

Note about the "Beebs" Chrome extension - it is a PAID service, at about 5 bucks a month. (I have been seeking a similar solution for my need for a LAST LEG fix.)

I'm looking at the BritBox programs list and it looks like the new WHO is not on there.

Beebs does offer a free version, though it is limited. If you are willing to pay, then £5 a month can get you a much better VPN solution

I have access to the newest season through BBC America. There are a couple streaming services that have it, I have YouTube TV but I think one of the sling packages offers it. I only have access to episodes available on demand or in my DVR but if you're after the newest season I think this is the only way to get it. It's cast the same day as the UK so no spoilers from abroad.
