Hi! What are your recommendations for hotels in downtown Indianapolis, near the convention center? Thank you!

I've stayed at the JW Marriott a few times when I was in town for GenCon and thought it was quite nice. It's also one of the hotels that has the skyway connection (or whatever it's called) to the convention center, so it's super easy to get there and you don't even need to go outside.

I've stayed in both the JW Marriott and the Omni Severin down there. Both of them were very nice.

All of my data comes from my trips to GenCon, so your mileage may vary. All the ones I'm mentioning had skywalk access, which is a high priority for my group.

The JW is very nice but pricey. Best bathrooms I've ever seen at a hotel (the walk-in shower could have served as a small bedroom on its own).

The Marriott Downtown and Westin were both good hotels. Rooms were nice, and both very convenient to the convention center.

I didn't particularly enjoy my stay at Springhill Suites. Very small room, it's a bit of a maze to get to the convention center if you want to stay indoors.

I enjoyed my stay at the Omni Severin last year.

I've stayed at The Alexander and had a nice time, it's about a half mile from the convention center if you're up for that walk. It was nice to be slightly father away from the convention (I was there for Gen Con) and be able to go back to the hotel as a little of a retreat away from crowds if we needed.

I kind of like the Holiday Inn or the Holiday Inn Express (they're right next to each other) since you can maybe find street parking right around there. JW Marriott parking is $47 a day, which would be OK in Chicago, but feels like you're getting ripped off in Indy.
