I woke up this morning feeling odd. I seem to be cycling slowly through chills and then overheating, and my skin is very sensitive to changes in temperature and constriction and texture. No fever though. What is this? What should I call it when googling? YANMD.
I'm sure I've felt this weird temperature sensitivity before but only in relation to a fever, and I don't feel like I'm coming down with anything.

Could you be menopausal or peri-menopausal?

Unlikely -- I am female but mid 20s. I am on some medication that messes with my ability to thermoregulate but usually it's only an issue when it's hot, and it's quite cold out now.

Do you get vertigo or migraine? Sometimes my vertigo is preceded by profuse sweating.

Um, what you've described is a problem to thermoregulate. I would say that your previous side effects have developed further - while you used to only have a problem while warm, you're now having a general problem.

I am on some medication that messes with my ability to thermoregulate You can become sensitized to medication pretty randomly, this seems like a good place to start.

Just sounds like how I feel when I'm about to get a cold, but YMMV.

That pretty neatly describes how I feel when I have a fever.

It’s your body trying— and succeeding— to contain a fever. Think of it as a very low grade fever if it helps.
