Portland, Maine: Food or meal delivery to a friend

A dear friend who lives in Portland, Maine just experienced a loss and I'd like to send him a delivery of food, ideally some prepared meals. Are there any places you'd recommend? Thank you.

I would call Rosemont Markets and ask them to put together a delicious assortment of meals and snacks. They can help you choose what's best that day (though I've never had anything there that was less than delicious) and they have bakery items and other snack-type things along with prepared meals.

Best answer: 2dinein is a locally owned and operated delivery service (like Grubhub or Door Dash, but locally owned and waaaay more reliable) that will delivery meals from a wide variety of our local restaurants.

Leavitt & Sons has some pretty legendary "take home meals" (chicken pot pie), but I don't know if they have a mechanism for delivery. I bet they do.

You might find some other ideas at this link.

Response by poster: Thank you so much. I went with Leavitt, which offers delivery via the service 2 Dine In.
