The best condiment, dip, or extra zip that you like to add to pizza?

Specifically looking for additions that come into play after baking 🍕...

I recently ordered a little container of blue cheese dressing with my pizza delivery. Dipping heaven! I also remember a restaurant in Seattle that served honey to dab onto your pizza crust. I’m now finding that pizza with no extra pizazz just doesn’t cut it. What are you favorite ways to jazz up a pizza, after it comes out of the oven?

If you though blue cheese was good wait til you try RANCH! Dipped or drizzled on top, pizza isn’t the same without it.

Also, Penzey’s makes pizza seasoning and that plus some red pepper flakes are amazing on pizza.

I like a small bowl of malt vinegar to dip pizza crusts in. Also a sprinkle of nutritional yeast on top of pizza gives it a nutty, kind of funky flavor that I love.

I'm fan of hot sauce on pizza. I go back and forth between Sriracha and Chipotle Tabasco.

Franks or a full on buffalo sauce along with blue cheese is also awesome.

Any pizza with hot peppers is GREAT with honey drizzled on it. The pizza place near me calls this a "bee sting".

And - it's a pre-baked change, but - next time you order chain delivery pizza, try replacing the red sauce with garlic dipping sauce as a base for the cheese. I like this on a thin crust (works well with whole wheat if you're trying to be marginally more healthy), then topped with bacon, chopped tomato, and cheese. It's amazing.

Our local pizza place does a great vegetarian pizza (aubergine, zucchini, tomato, capsicum, maybe some other things) that they drizzle aioli on top of afterwards.

I love spicy giardiniera on pizza.

More specifically, I love Chicago style giardiniera which is something I recently found out was not available throughout the country like ketchup or mayo.

It's practically old fashioned now but there was a time when a fried egg in the middle of your fancy artisanal pizza was almost standard. Dip it into the yolk.

There's a place near me that does pretty classic Indian curries on pizza, like they have a butter chicken pizza and a saag paneer pizza. They serve them with raita, a mint chutney and that tamarind sauce you see with takeout curry - one time I saw a table order classic pepperoni and olive but asked for the sauces for dipping. I can totally see pepperoni with tamarind or olive with the mint chutney.

Sriracha on the pizza, honey on the crust. I keep meaning to buy a bottle of that hot honey; I bet it's great on both!

Sriracha Kewpie Mayo. Not just good on pizza, but on just about everything. If you can't find it in store, you can mix Kewpie and sriracha. The best condiment.

I mean maybe this is too basic but I always sprinkle oregano on my frozen pizzas. No good without it.

Not a sauce, but as a former pizza cook, trust me, fresh ground black pepper. It’s not going to radically alter the pizza, but it will make everything just a little *more* when you take a bite.

Since no one has said it yet; pesto. I mean ordinarily you think of baking it with the pizza, but it's just fine put on top of a hot pizza. Better in some ways because you end up with bites of identifiable pesto, it's not just a flavor mixed in. Particularly good on the crust.

My hometown pizzeria served their pizzas with Seven Seas Creamy Italian dressing. I loved it. That dressing is off the market now, so they make their own version that tastes the same to me. It’s really worth it to mix up a batch and try it.

Any place that offers dipping sauces is declaring to your face that their dough sucks. However, a sprinkle of very hot condiment over the toppings is allowable.

Seconding balsamic reduction, especially for white / non-tomato-sauce pizzas.

It's not too much of a departure from the standard crushed red pepper, but I find aleppo pepper to be a great pizza finisher - more flavorful and less hot than the usual crushed cayenne. Urfa Biber, a crushed purple pepper, is another similar alternative.
