Remote therapist with modern understanding of autism?

About three years ago, I went for a psychological assessment for autism. I am realizing that the experience was traumatic, because the assessor dismissed my experiences. I'm looking for an English-language therapist that does remote work who has a modern perspective on autism and ideally experience with iatrogenic trauma.

The assessor ended up labeling me as not autistic. They cited my supposedly good social skills and executive function - which is simply untrue. Both they and my therapist have a very old-fashioned idea of what autism entails, and are keen to tell me that I'm definitely not autistic, likely also because I present as female.

Recent events have brought this experience back to the surface for me, and I'm struggling a lot. My therapist does not understand that getting a diagnosis would be a vindication rather than something bad.

So I'm looking for a therapist who is unrelated to this whole situation, and who understands that autistic people aren't stereotypes, who can help me process this.

Dr Natalie Engelbrecht does online assessments for ASD. Here is a detailed explanation of her assessment procedure.

(I don’t have personal experience with Dr Engelbrecht; this was found by a Google search.)
