Google Assistant Refuses to Assist

I have a new Pixel4 phone. Google Assistant gives me a message that says " I can't show you personal photos for this account" when I ask it to pull up photos from Google Photos. I need to find a fix for this. Any ideas?

There appears to be some unpleasantness going on between Google Suites accounts and Google Assistant. There is a lot of web documentation of the problem but no solutions except the forthcoming Google update which never comes. I do not want to create a throwaway Google account which would have me change accounts frequently to access my default email. I am pretty sure I have the right permissions and enabled the gestures. This is mildly frustrating considering the cost of the phone. Also, it's not just photos it refuses to help with. Emails, docs and just about everything file related.

Dumb IT Answer: Have you tried logging out of your Google Account and logging back in?

Is your G Suite account personal, or managed by your employer?

I have a Pixel 3. Their support, both phone and chat is terrific imo.

Has your G Suite administrator enabled Search and Assistant services for your Google account?

Honestly G Suite accounts and most consumer-oriented Google services don't play well together. There are reasons, but I'm sure you don't care.
