Software to extract files from encrypted itunes / iphone backup

For some reason my phone refuses to install the most current backup and I was forced to use one from several months ago. This means I no longer have all the photos I've taken on my phone over the last few months. Has anyone used any of the software that says it can decrypt iphone backups? I'm seeing a lot of products for a pretty wide range of prices.

Best answer: I have used iMazing for some manual iPhone management tasks and it always worked exactly as expected. It also has a very clear online manual (written by Kirk McElhearn, who is as good as it gets when it comes to documentation) and it's easy to uninstall if you don't like it. Here's the manual's section on extracting files from an encrypted backup.

The free trial version can transfer up to 50 photos so you could certainly test it out.

p.s. I strongly recommend using iCloud Photos and iCloud Backup in future if possible!

Response by poster: Thank you! I am copying all my photos as we speak. Done in one.
