2019 style alert on Windows desktop !

I'm wanting to send desktop notifications to users on my work LAN. I'm aware I can do simple dialog box messages and I can even do slightly fancier balloon tip notifications but I'm wanting something ideally a bit more attractive and fitting with the year 2019.

So basically the messages are going to come to the desktops via MQTT and then a listener on each PC will run a script on each machine which generates the popup.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaannnny tips?!

Thank you!!!

You might have some success if you use "toast notifications" as a search term. Combined with 'MQTT', I see a lot of maybe-relevant stuff.

What do you use to send balloon tip notifications? If whatever it is uses the standard system API for generating them, I *believe* they'll show up as toast notifications in Windows 8+. If you want to show toast-style notifications in Windows 7, then you'd need to use custom software installed on your client machines to draw that UI, since the toast-style of notifications wasn't introduced until Windows 8.
