Hungry in San Francisco

Please recommend a San Francisco restaurant for an indulgent weekday lunch in mid-December for a dozen or so people. If they have a private room, that's a bonus.

I've been voluntold to come up with possibilities for where our group of about a dozen can go for for an indulgent lunch on December 19 and would appreciate suggestions. In previous years we've gone to Ozumo, Hakkasan, and Trattoria Contadina.

Bonus points for private room, vegetarian/pescatarian-friendly, and a good wine list or cocktails.

I've treated my cousins to bday dinners at Acquerello, quince and aster.

Rosa Mexicano isn’t quite as expensive as the places you’ve listed, but they have a curtained-off area and do fun cocktails.

There's no private room, but the Beach Chalet at the western end of Golden Gate Park is surprisingly fun for brunch. The views and cocktails are great. The food's pretty good.

If you like dim sum, Dragon Beaux is very good and has private areas. Yank Sing is also a favorite for dim sum - I'm not sure about private rooms, but I've taken a group of 30 there at three large tables and it went great.

I'd be tempted to give Mourad a call.

Group wise I've been to Sam's for large groups and it's been great. I know also Marlowe has a private room.
