A friend wants to know more about an IL reheab facility

A friend is looking into residential treatment programs for another friend in Illinois/Midwest.

They are considering Timberline Knolls in IL. Other than a recent bad incident, we don't know much about Timberline.

Does anyone know:
1. Of anyone who has had good experiences for this facility
2. The most reliable resource for rating midwest rehab facilities
3. Midwest-based alternative treatment options they should consider?

Thank you very much for any advice.

I saw an article about using medications for rehab that sounded more effective than other common approaches. The article is about opioids but I'm pretty sure there's also a medication to reduce alcohol cravings. Good luck to your friend.

There are treatments that work, but rehab facilities don’t have to use them. One family learned that the hard way.
