Seeking a USA made robe for a Minnesota winter

I’d like to buy my boyfriend a cozy, hotel-style cushy white bathrobe for his birthday. The caveat is, I’d love for it to be made in the USA (ethically made somewhere else is okay, too). This is harder to find than it seems.

Any ideas? Style doesn’t matter too much, I’d just love it to be available in white and to fit a size XL dude. Assume that money is no object. Thanks in advance for keepin’ my man cozy!

Money being no object, if you can identify acceptable fabric then maybe have the robe custom made.

The Snowe robe might be good (made in Portugal, very warm) but the size large might not be big enough. They do say that the sizes run large, though. This is made in Massachusetts, but unfortunately I think only in women's sizes...

Robe Works supplies a lot of upscale hotels and they are made in the USA.

I've also been very happy with L.L. Bean robes, but they are imported.

Look into Wings + Horns and/or Reigning Champ; they're a Vancouver company that does collaborations with places like Ace Hotel and custom fabrication for a decent number of brands. Pretty fashion-forward, as far as a robe goes, but that means they've got a good, rather than anything further afield.

In a totally different direction, Betabrand might have something that fits the bill.

Wittman Textiles has a terry robe made in Turkey, which of course Turkey is known for. I can vouch for Florida-based Wittman in general; the are responsive to questions and they make terrific cotton nightshirts in the U.S. that I wear daily.

I highly recommend The Vegan Tailor's work. She is based in Washington and makes some really fantastic, high-quality, lush custom pieces. She'd be able to make this robe for you.
