iTunes Music Showing Duplicate Tracks in Downloadable State

Though my iTunes playlists look and synch ok (e.g. this), the album view often looks like this (note: the duplicate iterations with icloud icon are never the iterations present in my playlists). Any idea what's going on?

I'm having general iCloud synch issues, and suspect this is part of that. But in this case it's pretty benign, because I mostly choose music from playlists, which are unaffected...

I think this used to happen if there is a .plist file in the directory with the mp3s......that was years ago that I learned that, and I'd normally think, surely that is fixed after 10+ years,but, iTunes......that is an old old issue, and I have no idea if it is relevant, but, it's worth checking into, I guess.

Response by poster: Thanks, Thelonius, will check. A 10 year bug in iTunes is comparatively short-term.

Response by poster: Seems to be another bug. This one appears to involve iCloud, which is more recent.
