cordless lighting in the US?

the new house has an under-the-stairs cabinet in the basement we'd like to use for litterboxes. No lighting in there as is, and no power socket inside. Any recommendations for how to light this for daily kitty maintenance?

Budget is ideally <60 but I could go up to 80. My first take for this would be to use a camp light when I'm scooping litter / etc, but a headlamp could also be on the table. If you've had a similar problem in the past, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks!

Response by poster: Amendment: it's a cupboard, as in a Harry Potter cupboard, not a cabinet. Thanks!

Google/Amazon "closet light". There are a million options for non-plug-in lights, battery powered or in some case removable and usb-chargeable that turn on with motion or touch.

Here are a few options. There are many many more. You can do this for significantly less than your budget.

We have one of these in our unlit closet with 10 foot high ceilings and it's perfect.

we use those tap on puck lights. Get one with a timer so the batteries last.

We have a small battery operated motion sensor light (it’s actually a Mr Beams as linked above but doesn’t seem to be in their US lineup but it’s basically one of their nightlights) under our stairs for this purpose - our stairs are open risers but the doors/angle makes it very dark in the bit we have the covered litter box at night so that light makes life much easier as hands are free for scooping/tidying/fending off the tiniest cat who thinks that it is hilarious to sit on the stairs and tap my head through the risers.

Yeah - the trick is to get one which can be movement activated, which is USB rechargeable and which is magnetically fixed - allowing for easy removing to charge. We have several round the house. We batch charge them whenever one starts to look a little dim - every 3 months or so.
