Can you identify this scene from the Fox TV series Empire?

Someone is looking for answers. They go to a house to speak to the person living there (a woman?), but that person refuses to talk. So they begin to leave, but see someone else (a man?) mowing the lawn. The investigator stops them to inquire, and that person is more responsive.
I've never watched the show, but some years ago a location scout requested permission to film this scene at my house in the burbs. I refused because I'd heard that's a hassle. I'm curious to know how it turned out.
