ELI5 FUPA Tailoring

I have a new pair of Expensive Pants that I love in most of all th ways. They fit my thighs (thunderous) and waist (ample), BUT in between is a little loose. Like I could probably smuggle a can of beer comfortably. Is this an easy & cheap tailoring fix a small town tailor could do? Shorten my crotch seam and take in a little extra fabric in the bikini area? I know nothing of what tailors can offer me.

It's a big fix. You can ask for a price estimate at a tailor's before you commit to one and they will explain a bit of what they can do.

It may be difficult to do, but will definitely be worth it.

If they fit in the waist this might not be so bad at all. A good tailor can work magic and most of the really finicky parts of pants are the waist band. Complicated pockets could make this a little more expensive, but still doable.

Messing with the crotch and rise of pants is one of the most complicated things possible in tailoring. I would expect to pay dearly. A friend of mine had this done at a cheapo place, and the result was awful (these were some reallly expensive pants, and he had no idea this was such a complicated alteration.)
