Kodak Adjustable Safelight Model B manual?

I have an old safelight, the Kodak Adjustable Model B, that I need to disassemble to replace power cord which is now stiff and a potential shock hazard. I have been unable to find a manual for it that shows how to take it apart. Anyone have a manual or can explain how to take it apart? Thanks.

It looks like unscrewing the front gives you access the bulb and filter. Highly likely there's a lock ring behind the bulb that unscrews. But I can't find a manual online either

Response by poster: I tried that but apparently, that's also part of the "adjustable" feature and I didn't want to force anything.

Force it. Front unscrews. Sometimes dried chemicals makes it get stuck. By "adjustable" it just means you can tilt it on its U bracket.

Response by poster: I just sprayed some WD-40 around the cap and now I'm waiting to see if it will budge.

Are you sure the lamp socket doesn't unscrew from the back?

From the pictures I've seen it looks like the back section is in two parts, which probably means the part closest to the lamp base is a retaining ring or something that's on a threaded core.

Response by poster: The WD-40 worked, it unscrewed reluctantly but came off finally. Unfortunately, now I have to figure out how to remove the socket since unlike most lamps it doesn't screw in or have a retaining ring.
