Bad Vibrations

The Do Not Disturb setting on my Samsung Galaxy S10 is not preventing text notification vibrations.

I’m having some trouble getting text notifications to behave on my new S10. On my old HTC One M9 I had Textra set to wake the screen up with “multiple long” vibrate repeated five times at two minute intervals. I could set the phone to Do Not Disturb and the notifications would work as expected without the vibrations.

I mirrored those settings in Textra on the S10 but Do Not Disturb is not working properly. I verified that Textra is not exempt from DND settings. If DND is on the phone wakes up with one long vibration that repeats every minute. If the phone is set to silent the screen will wake up once.

I’ve gone over every setting within Textra and the phone itself but I am stumped. Any ideas? I would prefer to not use a third-party app to fix this but I will if necessary.

Bonus question: The screen wakes up for 1-2 seconds when I get a text and I’d love to increase that time somehow.

Did you check the per-app notification settings? Those can be set to poke through anything.

Response by poster: In case anyone else has this question in the future: I downloaded the 'Good Lock' app from the Galaxy Store and it pointed me to the 'Nice Catch' app that keeps track of vibration history. The culprit was the Notification Reminder function within Accessibility settings.
