Like a ? on rainy day

I've had a earworm stuck in my head over the weekend, and I think it's from some reggae-adjacent genre that I don't normally listen to. Can you help me identify it?

The one thing I know is correct is that there's a pre-chorus that involves the phrase "like a ??? on a rainy day" and then the chorus kicks off with an "ohhhh"

Everything else I remember about the song could be a little off:
  • Like I said, I feel like it's from a reggae-adjacent genre, but since I heard it, realistically it's probably Top 40 and I heard it playing in a store. Also I don't know musical genres so I could be wildly off on how music is classified.
  • It's not all in English. I'm pretty sure it's Spanish but it could be Jamaican Patois.
  • It starts out with some distinctive notes..guitar plucking? I'm just tone deaf enough that I know I'm humming it wrong even thought I can hear it in my head.
  • It's faster than 90 BPM
  • I think there's a verse that has a sort of "hey-ee hey-ee yah" in it

Slightly different lyrics, but could it be this funky cover of “Bird on a Wire” by the Neville Brothers?

Response by poster: Neither of those but thank you!

A few other things:

-Male vocalist
-It's kind of happy and bright
-The reggae thing might be more trouble than helpful...It definitely doesn't have the typical reggae swing rhythm and is probably in 4/4 time. I think I described it that way because it's very wordy and a mix of English and the other language.
-My current theory is that this is something that's been coming up when we play Ed Sheeran music for our toddler, because he has a song or two with Spanish parts and that would definitely explain the bright guitar. I'm probably going to find in in 5 minutes now that I've realized that and then we can all laugh at me for describing Ed as "reggae"

Response by poster: (Eh, I don't think it's Ed Sheeran, but I suspect this song came up in Spotify radio mode with his stuff)

You seem to have described Santeria by Sublime, apart from the rainy day business ("feel the break"?).

There have been several bilingual hits in recent years, many reggaeton related: maybe one of the six on this list?

Any chance it's Matisyaho? It's not a perfect match for your description but has some strong similarities and is the sort of thing that would find itself mixed in with Ed Sheeran on Pandora.
