Vintage Style Tutorials for Short Hair

What are some good resources (besides of course just searching Youtube and Pinterest) for some vintage styles on short hair? Preferably easy on the arms/energy levels.

I have chin length slightly naturally wavy hair with an undercut.
My go-to easy vintage looks are hair bandanas, retro turban caps, hats, and front rolls. When I have enough energy I can do poodle curls and beehives, but that's very rare.

I'm looking for some styles that require low physical energy/less arms in the air. Preferably low heat if possible. My hair does tend to get sort of silky/heavy and doesn't like to hold large curls very well. Though I'm find waiting till hair is a little dirty to do certain styles.

Can you point me to some quality tutorials or info?

I'm thinking about trying some front finger waves. What products are good for hold? Mousse?

I also would like some curl patterns - probably pin curls or rollers. What curlers might be best for shorter hair? Mine tends to slip out of even small foam rollers. Again, the fewer I would need to do, the better.

And really any other tips/products/tools/pins/clips you like for short vintage styles. Preferably vegan. And any tips for holding those styles for an extra day or two.

Have you tried pin curls? Like the ones where you curl hair around your finger and Bobby pin it in place? That's one way to do finger waves, but you have to be very precise about placement so the all wave together. Practice makes perfect tho:)
