Where can I take a quick nap.... in Rome?

I have to kill 8 hours in the Rome airport, and I will desperately need a nap. Where can I go?

In late June, I'm going to Italy. Hooray! However I'm landing at 7am and won't be meeting my group until 3pm.

I will desperately, desperately be in need of a nap since I usually dont sleep at all on overnight flights. Where can I go to get an hour or two of sleep? I'll be alone so curling up on an airport bench with all my luggage isnt really an option. I'll be in the FCO airport. Is there a lounge I can pay to hide out in? Or a hotel nearby where you can rent a room for a short layover? Help!

(Please no suggestions to tough it out until nighttime. I will seriously throw up if I dont manage to snatch a little sleep that morning/afternoon.)

Best answer: FCO HelloSky looks like what you need.

Looked into HelloSky that the man of twists and turns mentions, out of curiosity, and yeah. You can rent a single room for 3 hours for 65 €, or 95 € for 6 hours, including your own private bathroom. I would definitely pay that much to not be an emotional wreck due to lack of sleep

It looks like Bhurnistan has already linked you to Sleeping in Airports, but it's a fantastic resource for sussing out whether to pay for a comfy bed or make a little nest somewhere secluded for free.

Just a heads up in case you didn't notice - it looks like HelloSky only allows day use after 10:00, but it does have a note about "depending on flight time" so perhaps they could make an exception if you reached out.

may also look at ByHours, which appears to be a by-the-hour hotel booking site.

Not sure where you’re staying, but you could also consider just booking an extra night at your hotel prior to your landing. Email them to clarify you won’t show up on the day of the reservation, but want the room available the next day. I used to do this when traveling internationally for work. And pack an eyeshade and earplugs!
