What’s the best way to find an out-of-print ebook?

Rebecca Moore self-published her novel Lunch in Brooklyn in 2013, but it has apparently gone out of print. None of the links to online retailers (Amazon and the iTunes bookstore) still list it for sale, and Moore seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. (Her blog, Twitter, and Facebook were last updated in 2018.) Are there other ways I can access an ebook that’s fallen out of print?

I found a PDF here, but you will need to create an account (it's a free trial, but they ask for billing info, just cancel after you get the PDF)

The author seems to be taking questions (at least as of last month) on Goodreads; maybe she’ll be able to help you.

I don't know this site, so maybe it's completely legit, and maybe ananci has used it and can vouch for it, but it feels very scammy to me. (I mean... the ebook's not available from the publisher but they have it? Which means they've pirated it or aren't authorized to offer it, in which case they shouldn't be trusted with billing info.)

Anyway, I strongly recommend you don't put any billing info in this site. Or even your email address.
