Seeking curly hair stylist in Ashland/Medford area

I recently moved to Ashland, OR and need to find a stylist who knows how to cut curly hair, and who can do styles that are just a bit edgy. My hair is fine and thin with soft curls. I'd like someone who knows how to give a dry cut - and I do NOT mean straightened and dried (which just happened, so brutal)! Someone who knows how to cut on the bias of the curls to enhance them. Preferably at a salon where they use natural hair products. Thank you!

I would look up diva cut trained stylists and then take a look at their Instagram pages. They usually have a fair amount of before/afters if they focus on curls and that can be a good way to find someone who is a good match.

I tried my usual website sources (Curly Hair Artistry and Deva Curl) and only found one possibility. Deva Curl lists the Ulta Beauty store in Medford, which sells Deva Curl products and has a hair salon. You could call them and see if they've got a Deva-trained stylist there.
Apparently there was a pretty good salon in Ashland with three stylists (Renu Salon at 141 Will Dodge Way) Yelp has good reviews, but says they're closed. Their Deva Curl listing has the names of the three stylists, so maybe you could track them down if they're elsewhere in the area now.
Apologies if you already tried those websites, and good luck finding a new curl wrangler.

I would reach out to Atoya at the Curly Hair Studio and asks if she recommends any stylists in your area. While she's in Beverton, she trains stylists to cut curly hair and may have trained one that works near you.

If you can make it up to Portland, I'm delighted to recommend Taylor Mathes at Cathedral Park Salon. I've been going to Taylor for almost 2 years and I've learned from him how to care for and style my curly/wavy hair after his excellent cuts. He cuts curly hair dry (NOT BLOW DRIED, good grief!) and then I get a wash and head massage, styling and 5 minutes under the hood dryer. He also has an IG account, if you'd like to see some of his other curly looks. Bonus: sometimes his dogs, Kai and Cooper, come to work with him and they love to hang out with his clients! I get my hair cut every 12 weeks, so you'd only have to make a few trips to Portland each year to get these cuts. He is a certified Deva Curl stylist.

Response by poster: Thanks everyone, great suggestions! I'll check them all out. Also, thanks for pointing me in the direction of curly hair sites to start with if I'm ever in this situation again :)
