Faux leather couch but nice

I'm looking for a high quality vegan/faux leather couch (ideally a sectional.) My objection is not the price of leather but rather the animal skin part. I want clean, modern lines; super comfy; durable; easy to clean up dog dirt and saliva. I do NOT like removable covers.

I have an Ashley Nicorvo sofa, made of polyester/polyurethane pleather. It’s held up pretty well so far, though it’s still pretty new and note that the Ashley protection plan doesn’t cover animal damage. We specifically chose it over leather (more expensive) or bonded leather (made of leather dust and lies).

Is there a reason you're only considering faux leather? There are lots of high-performance fabrics these days that purport to be just as easy to wipe off as leather. If it's a look and feel thing I totally get it and please ignore me, but if cleanability and durability are your primary concerns, there are options like Sunbrella and Crypton that are tough, cleanable, and super comfy.

Response by poster: @potrzebie I'm actually not familiar with high-performance fabrics. Do you know some good retailers who carry them?

Are you near a Room & Board? They offer modern sectional sofas, and their upholstery options include "dog-friendly" performance fabrics. (Stain-repellent, fade-resistant, easy clean - incl. Sunbrella, as potrzebie mentions - and lots more).

Since it sounds like you're open to high tech synthetics, I'll put in a plug for my "easy care microfiber" sectional from Jonathan Louis (they make to order and you can pick from hundreds of fabrics). Mine is light gray, several years old, and unstained despite several cat hairball/vomit incidents.

I don't have a recommendation for the faux leather, but I do want to put in a word about the performance fabrics if you have dogs. We have always had leather sofas, but couldn't find one we liked this time around and got a fabric sectional. Sure, the performance fabrics are stain resistant and spills clean up well, but nobody talks about the fur. Despite keeping it covered with blankets 95% of the time, we still spend a good hour vacuuming and lint rolling it before people come over, and even then the dog hair is never really gone. We will never do anything other than leather again.
