Soft bralettes with no elastic around the band

Target was selling some really sweet bralettes awhile back but don't have them anymore (it was pink with black polkadots), so I was wondering where else I can find them. What I liked was that the band was soft, stretchy fabric (not lace, scratchy) and not an elastic band or like an elastic band covered in fabric. The straps/cups were the same fabric and also not elastic bands. Feeling like I have rubber bands all around my torso is something I don't want to do anymore.

It's hard to tell from online how elastic something is & I keep winding up with stuff that's not suitable so that's why I'm hoping for personal recs.

I cannot do the rubber band thing (and wires are long dead to me). True & Company "True Body" bras are perfect for me. They are made out of a soft stretchy material, but they're not elastic. I haven't tried the "true body lift" line or any of the other styles, so I can't speak to those, but I love the ones I have and don't wear anything else anymore.

They often go on sale; I usually pay about $30 or so for one.

I came in to recommend the True Body bras as well! I wear the “Lift” ones mostly, as the sizing works better for me, but both styles are very stretchy and comfortable. The lift ones are thicker fabric with a firmer stretch, but still no elastic band or band feeling, just slightly firmer at the bottom edge. I basically refuse to wear any other bras now.

I like the ones from the Gap. I think they’re called racerback bralette or something, and have that nice stretchy soft material, without the weird rubber band rib business.

I found my favorite bralette on Amazon, made by a company called Intimate Portal. The little cups are removable. Very comfortable, breathable, surprisingly supportive. It's the only bra I could ever imagine sleeping in.

Amazon Essentials makes a surprisingly great "womens 2-pack light support seamless sports bra." Each two-pack is only $20, they look cute, and they don't have the dreaded "rubber bands constricting my chest" feeling at all, nor do they flatten you down to a uniboob. In this respect, I have found the to be way better than more expensive sports bras.

For a higher price point, my absolute favorite bra is Patagonia's "W's Barely Bra." Soft, non-restrictive, stretchy, breathable, comfortable, with removable cup pads. Great for travel. Easy care. The best bra that I, a fellow hater of constriction, have ever worn, and well worth the money.

I love the Modern Micro bralettes from Jockey. They're super stretchy but not gross elastic.

The Barely Bra thought-fox suggests is very similar, and I second the praise. I had one several years ago and wore that thing until it had no elasticity left.

I'm a smallish B cup and both of these are supportive enough for my preferences. I have pierced nipples, and they do show through if my shirt is especially clingy, but that doesn't bother me.

Have you tried Hanes' Get Cozy line? (Example: https://www.hanes.com/shop/hanes/hanes-comfortflex-fit-reg%3B-get-cozy-wirefree-bra-mhg196) Very stretchy with no actual elastic band at the bottom. Tight elastic bands trigger my anxiety disorder pretty badly, but I can tolerate these just fine, and you can find them cheaply at Walmart/Target. They occasionally show up in cute colors/patterns, too.

They look tiny but stretch like whoa, and the sizing is really forgiving. The support isn't fantastic, but that's pretty standard for bralettes.

Response by poster: Have you all seen any where it's like sewn fabric, rather than seamless? I guess it's more like a very, very small shirt?

You might like this or this from Target.

i was recently looking for similar items and found that a lot of them are called "crop tops" or "cropped tanks." These aren't what I would call crop tops, but whatever. You may also get results with the stupid word "brami" (bra + cami, I guess), at least at Target.

An Amazon search for demi cami brought up some pieces that fit the bill.
