Secondary Market for Jonathan Richman tickets?

My husband really wants to see Jonathan Richman when he’s in Northern California in May, but the shows are sold out. Is there any place to buy tickets that are being resold?

I’ve checked the obvious places like Ticketmaster and Stubhub. Are there other secondary markets to check? Are there Jonathan Richman fan communities where folks might post tickets they bought but can’t use? Any other ideas?

The Oakland show on May 15th would be ideal but we can make the Big Sur dates work too. Here’s the tour schedule. Thank you!

People often put up tickets they can’t use for sale on an events Facebook page. Also, tix are more likely to become available closer to the time of the show as people drop off for various reasons.

I think the best chance of getting a ticket is actually the same day as the event. I still buy tickets for shows on Craigslist, though you obviously have to be careful. I use IFTTT to get alerts.

I bet you'll be able to get tickets day of -- I'd keep an eye on Craigslist, or just go to the Starline the day of the show. Not all venues sell 100% of their tickets online, so if the Starline is convenient to you, I suggest swinging by any night there's a show to see if they have tickets for sale in person at the box office.

Also, Jonathan Richman plays small venues in the Bay Area regularly (I think he might live somewhere around here), so you probably won't have to wait more than 6 months for another opportunity to see him.
