How to search for URLs ending in .png, .jpg, or.jpeg only

I recently found out about Flippity, which is a neat flashcard tool for teaching, bit I'm getting frustrated with using it. The site allows the use of images on their cards, but they only appear if I paste a URL link that ends in .gif, .png, .jpg, or .jpeg. I've been searching for my vocabulary words in Google Images and clicking on the pics I like, but most of these URLs end in .html or others I can't use. Is there a better way to search for these images?

Here's what it says in Flippity's FAQ:

Just paste the URL (address) of a picture you find on the web in the appropriate cell.
URLs must end in ".gif", ".png", ".jpg", or ".jpeg".
You cannot use Google Drive to store your images.
You can use Google Drawings. Use the "Publish to the web…" link.
Images are automatically resized to 220 pixels high.
Smaller images load quicker.

Best answer: You can append "filetype:png" (for example) to a query in Google Image Search. Then, when you open the images, make sure you copy the URL of the image itself and not the page it's embedded in. I just tried this and it had a fairly high success rate, though not 100% as the filtering is by file type and not URL per se (so you'll pick up some URLs like "blahblahblah/albatross.png?size=medium&language=esperanto", which may or may not work for you).

Best answer: Google Images does not link directly to images usually, it links to the page its on. Right clicking an image and selecting "Copy Image Address" in Chrome (this menu option is likely similar but different wording in the other browsers) will give you the link directly to the image which should be of a format suitable for Flippity.

If you put one of the Google Image Search results you're using in here I can be more precise.

Best answer: Can you not just right-click an image (in Chrome) and choose "Copy Image Address" for images you like from google images search? Not all images thusly copied will end in png/jpg/gif but many/most will.
