Personal recommendations for therapists in San Diego?

I need some help locating a therapist for my daughter in San Diego near SDSU or La Jolla...
My daughter is having a difficult time right now...cumulative effects of a new school, parents' divorce, maternal estrangement (NPD) and is in need of a relatable and decent therapist. I've been pleading with her primary doc down there for a personal recommendation and the staff seems to be unable to do anything more than refer me to some massive collective of behavioral specialists without offering even a single actual name. In my own practice here in OR I always offer multiple options as I know who the really good psychologists are but for some reason it is like we are speaking different languages, and I am worried...
Any input or personal recommendations are appreciated immensely.
