Recommendations for UK- based website developers

I've recently been handed the responsibility for overhauling the website of a small healthcare-related association. Would anyone have any recommendations of a website developer that would do good work and be reasonably-priced? Ideally UK-based - I'm around Bristol/Birmingham so it might be easier if they were local, but not essential. Google brings up lots of options, but it would be great to get some word-of-mouth recommendations.
The current website as it is a bit outdated and doesn't render properly on phones. Happy to send the url through me-mail if you wanted to take a peek.
Something along the lines of the college websites for the surgeons, physicians, or gastroenterologists but on a smaller scale would be good - we are a much smaller association!
