They discontinued my pants! Please help me find new ones.

For a few glorious years I could buy two models of pants from Uniqlo - their ultra stretch skinny chino, and their stretch skinny-fit color jeans. But they've discontinued them both, and their replacement chino and jean models just don't do it for me.

I'm a small, slim guy, with a muscular butt and thighs, and really only look good (or feel good, whatever) in skinny-fit stuff. I need some clothes for a business casual workplace, and for general life.

What I loved about the previous pants - very slim (without being painted on), came in many colors, and stretchy. And the jeans were a casual option, the chinos a hair more formal, and either could be a little bit dressed up or down. Both were fairly thin and light, which meant they were tolerable in the summer.

Got any recommendations to replace the Uniqlo stuff, since they've failed me?

Bonobos. They come in a ton of cuts and a multitude of colors. They sell exclusively online, but have storefronts where you can try stuff on, if you’re lucky enough to have one nearby.

Keep an eye out for their frequent sales.

+1 to Bonobos and their stretch washed chinos. Also BR has their Traveller jeans.

If you're looking for something less expensive, ASOS has small sizes and skinny, sometimes extremely skinny, fits. Fabric weights vary. I got a two pack of slim-fit grey and blue that were lightweight enough for summer, but that was random and it's hard to tell.

If you're looking for truly summer-weight pants that are more expensive, Everlane's midweight and air slim chinos are genuinely light. The air ones wrinkle a bit. They're not nearly as skinny as actual skinny pants, but they are summer magic.

Check out Levi 511 or 512 "Stretch" pants.

They used to have some "Commuter" versions of the 511 Jeans that seemed to fit your bill but I don't see them on the site anymore.

+1 Bonobos for lots of selection. Epaulet will custom make chinos. I have some off-the-rack wool pants from Epaulet that are great.

Maybe try Muji's men's pants. They have a similar aesthetic to Uniqlo, and the prices are reasonable.

Response by poster: Thanks! Haven't heard of a few of these, which means I'm getting what I'm looking for. Keep 'em coming!

+1 for Levi's, and I would throw in the 510s (skinny fit) as well, which also have a very comfortable stretchy variant.

FWIW, 2 out of the 3 pairs of Bonobo's I've owned (pants and corduroys) fell apart in under a year, which I wouldn't expect for the price. I wore them frequently but I've worn Levi's just as often and they do just fine.

Also a huge fan of old uniqlo skinny jeans.

I wear a lot of naked and famous super guy denim, which seems to have a similar fit for me at least?
