Gmail message disappears completely using quick response on Android

Hi, A few minutes ago I was responding to a potential Craigslist buyer who sent me an email on Gmail. I was using the Android quick response feature where a little window pops up when you touch the email on the screen and for some reason the little screen disappeared and the email completely disappeared.

I checked all the trashes all the drafts all possible folders on both the inbox app and the Gmail app both which display my Gmail messages. I can't find anything. Neither my response nor the email itself is visible anywhere on any of the apps. I'd like for this guy to look at my guitar. Can you help?

I'd next try a search if you haven't already.

Maybe they hit “undo” and it whisked it away. I have this option on Gmail. It gives you about 10 seconds to take the message back.

The "undo" feature just delays sending for the 10 seconds or so, though, doesn't it?

I would try a search. My suspicion is maybe it got archived?

If you search, try adding “in:anywhere” to your search terms, e.g. “guitar Craigslist in:anywhere”. It will search all of your emails, including trash, archive, and inbox.

(Sorry I mixed up my search operators!)
