Family-friendly Cuba destination

My family (two adults, two kids 7 & 10 years old) will be heading to Cuba in March. Recommend me your favourite spots.

All-inclusives are fine as long as we can escape to explore, and yummy food is quite important. Swimming access is vital, whether beach or pool.

Airbnb or equivalent recommendations are welcome as long as accommodations have a separate room for kids to sleep (so partner and I can do something other than sit in the dark after 8pm).

Whatcha got??

Best answer: I've stayed at Melia Las Americas, which is adults only, but I've visited Melia Varadero, which is the family version and right next door. Both are right on a private beach. Besides being able to go into Varadero, you can also get day trips to other cities and activities. Amenities are fantastic. The food at Melia Las Americas is great, and I particularly love the seafood. I think the food at Melia Las Americas is different because it caters more to kids (i.e. they have a grill area that makes burgers and such) so I can't really speak to what the food is like there.

That should be..."Melia Varadero is different because it caters more to kids"
