Where can I sell items that are not clothes in NYC? Do they exist?
I'd rather not use online methods of selling because I don't want to ship things or hang on to things until someone feels like picking it up. I just want to drop them off and be done with it. I know there are thrift stores that will buy clothes, but what about kitchen appliances, inflatable mattresses, DVD's and other such things?

Pawn Shops will often take DVDs and might take appliances. They will probably not give you a good price, though.

Pawn shops were my first thought too. They'll take just about anything with resale value, although naturally they'll need to price it low enough (to you) to allow them to make a profit and to cover the chance of some items just not selling at all.

Facebook Marketplace is meant for stuff like what you have. There will be too many groups with combinations of 212-718-sell-nyc-NewYork-sales etc etc etc in their names, and you can join 1 or all of them, and cross post. If you do not use Facebook for whatever reason, you can set up an account just for this purpose.
