Vintage porn mags in NYC?

A friend of mine wants vintage adult magazines for Christmas. Where could I find some, preferably close to the East Village?

Any antique mall or market will have a vendor who specializes in old paper and mags, with adult mags among them. Your chances of finding such a vendor at the Chelsea Flea or Hell's Kitchen Flea are pretty good (although not guaranteed).

I saw a vendor at the Brooklyn Flea with some of those last year. I'm sorry I can't give you a name, though.

Call the local library, or the nearest museum with a librarian on staff. They can tell you where they send them when they get donated. It happens

I was literally just in a thrift shop on Bedford Avenue near the L stop on 7th that had a bunch of old Playboys, but I’m afraid I don’t remember the name. If I remember rightly, it’s on Bedford between the subway station and McCarren Park, so only a few block stretch. And not really a thrift shop — the kind of place with a small volume of vintage clothes and old stuff displayed attractively rather than a lot of stuff jumbled onto racks. I’m not sure if that’s enough to go looking for the place, but it definitely had multiple Playboys on display.
