Kitten naming ideas
December 1, 2018 1:41 PM   Subscribe

We’ve adopted two brother kitties and need some naming ideas!

No real parameters. 2 brother kittens. We’ve been batting around San Francisco, lion or color, or toddler themed/train etc related names but haven’t landed on anything yet. Would love to have your great ideas to consider as well. Thanks!

Those are definitely citrus-themed cats. Pick orange-colored citrus species of your choice. Adorable!

What fine kittens! They look like the best kind of trouble ever!

May i suggest Fred and George (Weasley)? Or Rusty and Rohan?

Purrs & Roars.

Also, you could use "they" pronouns since you can't ask them their gender. We did that with our kitten and it was a great opportunity for us (and our housemates!) to get some practice with they pronouns in a low-consequence environment.

Maybe name them after people from the gold rush: Alonzo (Delano) and Domingo (Ghiradelli) or Gideon (Brooke) or Joaquin (Miller) or Levi (Strauss) or Elijah (Steele).

OMGOMG Babeee Reds!
Tinee Tabbee Twinsees!
Numkin Pumpkins!!!

Sorry, I get a little wild over baby orange twins. I raised a set of week-old marmie kittens found in a dumpster from bottle-babies to adulthood, and they were incredibly special felines. Their names were Sam and Andy. I didn't precisely choooose the names; the kits just kind of let me know that's what they were called.

Maybe cartoon jungle cat pairs?
Tigger and Tony?
Simba and Shere-Kan?
Hobbes and Rajah?

I've known orange littermate named after cheeses - I remember Cheddar, Brie, and Colby. (Velveeta was one of Sam's nicknames.)

Others:
Ginger and Peaches?
Russell and Rufus?
Clement and Martin?
Percy and Blakeny? (The Scarlet Pimpernel)

Whatever you choose, congratulations on your sensible acquisition of a set of House Lions.
