Can ozone remove odors from wool?

I had a bunch of clothes that I stored with a dry cleaner over the summer and they came back with a weird chemical odor that doesn't go away with airing out. (They cleaned a second time and odor is still there--must just be their process). I've used ozone generators in the past to clean odors from walls and wondered if anyone had experience using this method to remove odor from wool (which seems notoriously hard to rid).

Ozone generators create toxic gas that is harmful to your airways. It is particularly harmful to children. Ozone is one of the most reactive components of photochemical smog. There are mixed results from allowing ozone to reactive with volatile chemicals in the air. The reaction can create more dangerous chemicals than what you started with. I would not use an ozone generator in my home.

If you can hang them in a sunny, breezy area; sunshine breaks down the dry-cleaning chemicals, and generally helps with odors. I use cedar oil spray to discourage moths, and to mask off smells; it's a strong pleasant smell.
