Cool arty jewelry shops in Portland?

My 2 favorite pairs of earrings recently broke, and I feel naked without them. I'll be in Portland for a few days, and figure it's a good place to shop for cool jewelry. Any recommendations? I tend to prefer silver or mixed-metal earrings that are simple but interesting. More funky and industrial than gothy or fancy. My previous favorites were from an art gallery in Berkeley that sold local jewelers' work, is there something like that here?
I have several necklaces from Loop Jewelry in Portland that I really love. I bought them via their Etsy store, and I don't think they have an actual physical shop of their own, but their website does list a number of brick-and-mortar stores in Portland that stock Loop jewelry.

There's shops along Mississippi Street and Alberta Street. I do not know what the jewelry at these shops is like, but these links will probably give you an idea if it's what you're looking for or not. There's also the Saturday Market downtown.

Seconding the recommendation for Saturday Market. You'll find a variety of jewelers, along with other stuff. (And it's open on Sunday, too)

Best answer: Altar on Hawthorne sells jewelry like this. I used to work at The Hazel Room, a brunch place that shares the building, which is also great if you want to grab a bite while you're shopping.

If you're flying in take a look at the Real Mother Goose at the airport (they used to have a store downtown but now just the airport)

Best answer: Definitely try to visit Jewelry on 23rd (on NW 23rd Ave). They have a wide variety of very cool designs and the owner is the nicest guy ever. He will help you find just what you want and maybe even customize it on the spot, if needed.
Well worth a visit!

Seconding Betsy + Iya.
A few of my other favorite boutiques that carry a variety of jewelry artists, largely local, that you might like: Salty Teacup in N Portland, Amelia in NE, Presents of Mind in SE, Crafty Wonderland in SW.

Another vote for Real Mother Goose. Trios Studios in Lake Oswego might have something you like, too.
