Comfortable, Aesthetic Rope Bondage

like the aesthetics of rope bondage. I don’t like the restriction or things that are too tight over sensitive/painful areas of my body. Help me find some awesome patterns for my needs!?

I think bondage styles are stunning and sexy. However I don’t like being tied up or restricted. I got myself 3 sections of 30ft nylon rope (and safety scissors and a fantastic partner.)

Requirements:
Can tie myself or with a minimum of help from my partner.

Things that aren’t restrictive in overall movement or breathing.

Doesn’t pull or have an anchor at the back of the neck or too tight on the tops of shoulders.

Not something that cuts into my stomach.
Looks that can keep their shape even if they aren’t super tight.
Don't have to be a thong/rope up buttcrack style.

Example:
I paired these two looks and they were great. Pretty easy. Sexy. Kept a good shape even if a bit loose. Not restrictive. Can do them myself.

This simple harness (youtube, on mannequin) with half of this hip harness -the full first rope but was able to do three loops down my legs - (Youtube on clothed person)

I’m looking for videos, blogs, or books on the aesthetic and comfortable type I like. Pretty much like rope lingerie. Also welcome to alterations to design to make them more comfortable. For example an alternative to bracing a body harness with a loop behind the neck which is painful for me.

Ha never imagined I'd respond to this topic. Get to a large marine store that supports sailors and look at "sheet" line. It's the rope that is used for the constant adjustment of the sails and is designed to be relatively gentle on the hands and not to kink up. And get "The Ashley Book of Knots" there's a pdf but it's an encyclopedia of knots in amazing detail for every purpose including decorative so hard copy is really handy. A key element of a good knot is that it "breaks" or can be undone without cutting, the correct knot will be very safe.

Have you posted this topic on Fetlife? That is where the people I know who would have suggestions hang out.

Better Bondage for Every Body is a GREAT book that was written for rope bottoms who, for various reasons, might not feel physically comfortable in many of the standard ties. I think would give you some really good alternative ties to try. Highly recommended!
